IRCC 2016 Express Entry Year-End short Report is finally out…
Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has finally published its Express Entry year-end report for 2016. It was made public a couple of days ago and it was clearly showing that more candidates residing outside Canada were able to receive an Invitation to Apply (ITA) for permanent residence in 2016 when compared with 2015.
One the other hand, IRCC has declared that the countries of residence among sent invitations are likely to continue to diversify throughout 2017. Especially after the Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) cut-off threshold decrease even further.
During 2015, about 80 percent of all invited candidates were residents of Canada. This proportion was able to significantly decrease to 69 percent only throughout 2016. During 2016 and also 2015, Canada was the number one country of residence among invited candidates. This due to the fact, the number of temporary foreign workers with a job offer that wished to settle in Canada permanently, was quite high.
Results of 2017
Until now, only over the opening four months of 2017, there has been a dramatic increase in the number of ITAs issued! More and more candidates are invited to apply so far this year. This number is more than in the entirety of 2016! On the other hand, the CRS cut-off threshold has decreased accordingly as well. Its most recent cut-off point was 415 (like never before).
