Vancouver is the best place to live in North America and No. 5 in the world, according to Mercer’s study.

The No. 1 city is Vienna followed by Zurich, Auckland, Munich, Düsseldorf (6), Frankfurt, Geneva, Copenhagen and Sydney in the 10th place.

Mercer’s global Quality of Living Survey is conducted annually to help multinational organizations compensate employees fairly when placing them on international assignments. The company reports information and hardship premium recommendations for more than 440 cities, while the ranking covers 230 of these cities.

The lowest ranked cities are Baghdad at the bottom of the list, Bangui and Port-Au-Prince and.
